Wabanaki Reach Program

The Katahdin Association Executive Committee, to support a better understanding of our sisters and brothers of the Wabanaki peoples here in Maine, has engaged with Wabanaki Reach to offer the "Interacting with Wabanaki - Maine History" program at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 28, via Zoom. This program is for any member of our Katahdin Association churches.

Program Description (from the Wabanaki Reach website): “This program is an interactive experience in which we engage in a story of particular events in the history of 400 years of colonization of Wabanaki people by Europeans in this territory now called the state of Maine. This highly engaging experience requires our full participation in order to genuinely increase our understanding of colonization and what it means for current descendants and future generations; to reflect on what story we are writing for our grandchildren.”

Please register on or before Monday, September 23 if you wish to participate. You may register by simply sending an email to katahdin.me.ucc@gmail.com, and put "Interacting..." in the subject line. Please include your name and your email. This is a free event, made possible by the Katahdin Association.
