“Gifts for the Christ Child”

"In the Bleak Midwinter" (verse 4)

Just what can I give him, Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a wise man, I would do my part;
Yet, what I can I give him – give my heart.

As our church has considered whose birth we honor, we have for many years gathered “Gifts for the Christ Child,” supporting the work of local organizations to meet basic human needs. UPDATE: Because Dec 18 worship was cancelled, please bring gifts to the Christmas Eve service.

This year we are providing “gifts” to Homeless Services of Aroostook and the Hope and Justice Project. Gift tags/lists are available at church. Our Welcome and Care Ministry will deliver all donations to the appropriate organization.

As another option, both organizations note that gift cards to local stores are gratefully accepted. Cash, or a check made out to the church, may be placed in the boxes labeled Homeless Services or Hope & Justice. To be safe, add HSA or HJP in the Memo section of your check. A member of the Welcome and Care Ministry will purchase the gift cards for each organization and will deliver with other gift items. Thank you for giving from your heart!
